Polychrono Apartments
A cluster of stone-and-render maisonettes in Polychrono, Halkidiki, where natural stone, timber and private plunge pools compose a calm seaside retreat — designed and built by one team, start to finish.
The building reads as a run of stone gables under clay tile, tied together by a lighter rendered volume on the upper floor. Each maisonette opens onto its own deck, pergola and private plunge pool, turned toward the sea.
Materials are few and local: natural stone to the walls, timber for the pergolas and loungers, and glass balustrades that keep the view open. Concealed lighting washing the stone screens gives the whole a warm, quiet mood after dark.
Design, permits and construction were carried by one team, completed in 2026 — so the built result turned out exactly as drawn.
